Lauren Mueller, Ph.D.

Dr. Lauren Mueller, Ph.D., is Associate Director of Preclinical Research at Protagenic Therapeutics, where she leads development of PT00114 and the TCAP platform. Since joining Protagenic, she has risen from Senior Scientist to Principal Scientist to her current leadership role — a trajectory that reflects both her scientific depth and her ability to drive programs forward. Dr. Mueller brings deep expertise in behavioral neuroscience, in vivo pharmacology, and computational data analysis, applying these skills to understand how novel therapeutics reshape brain function and behavior in preclinical models. Her research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the broader scientific understanding of neurological and psychiatric drug development. She earned her Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience through a graduate partnership between the National Institute on Drug Abuse and Oregon Health & Science University, and holds an MS in Neuroscience from the University at Buffalo.
